The Thinking Behind X-Wire
Anyone running a truck fleet knows how challenging the rear of a vehicle can be to protect, especially where articulated vehicles are concerned.
Conventional camera and sensor systems mean extra cables, complex wiring and more steps for the driver to remember, all of which add time and risk. We wanted to make the process quicker, simpler and more reliable.
With X-Wire, we’ve done exactly that. It allows cameras and sensors on the rear of a vehicle to communicate with a display or monitor in the cab through the vehicle’s existing OEM wiring. No extra Suzie cables, no wireless pairing, no Bluetooth signals that can drop out. Simply connect the trailer as normal and the system activates automatically, all with no setup, switches, or additional driver input.
Simple, Fast and Reliable
Because X-Wire uses the vehicle’s existing OEM wiring, installation takes a fraction of the time of a conventional system.
For example, a rear camera can be fitted in around a quarter of the usual time, cutting downtime, freeing up workshop capacity, and dramatically reducing costs.
What’s more, because any tractor unit can automatically connect with any trailer fitted with X-Wire, fleets can stay flexible and ready to work.
Built for the Whole Industry
X-Wire is fully compatible with any existing camera and sensor systems, meaning operators don’t need to replace their current kit to benefit. Any safety improvements benefit everyone, which is why X-Wire was purposely designed to make compliance with modern safety standards simpler and more cost-effective for every fleet.

Our in-house R&D team has been developing vehicle safety technology for over a decade.
We supply systems to Ford and Vauxhall, now part of Stellantis, and are one of Europe’s leading names in aftermarket proximity sensor technology, trusted as the system of choice for both companies across Europe, as well as working with Jaguar Land Rover worldwide. Having our own facilities means we can test ideas quickly, refine them thoroughly and deliver solutions that make a measurable difference to everyday fleet operations.
